Over 100 kids visited a Special Needs Carnival held on Saturday, October 12, in Tooele City that included games and a magic show.

The event was held at the Dow James Building from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All those with special needs and their families were invited to attend.

The carnival included games, a magician show, photos with princesses, a Tooele City fire truck, face painting, and cookie decorating. Some who attended even wore Halloween costumes.

The carnival was put on by Group 1 Real Estate and was first created by Berna Sloan, who owns the company with her husband, Chris Sloan.

“It is worth it when you get a text from a mom whose son is autistic [after the event],” Sloan said. “[The woman’s son said], ‘Mom, I think this was the best morning ever because of that carnival.’”
