After finishing the season ranked 10th in the 3A, the Grantsville Cowboys girls volleyball team earned a bye week and is set to play their first playoff match Nov. 1.
Billed as the visiting team squaring off against the Summit Academy Bears, the game will take place at Utah Valley University at 3:30 p.m. this Saturday. In the previous matchup between the two teams, Grantsville took a 3-1 victory over the Bears on Sept. 5 on the road.
As the higher-ranked team, Summit Academy enters this weekend’s contest with a 19-7 record overall, including a 5-3 record in the 3A Region 14. The Cowboys ended the regular season with a 14-13 record, which included a 4-6 region record in the 3A Region 13.
