Lake Point City held their first health and safety preparedness fair on Saturday, August 31 at the Lake Point City park.
Over 24 individuals and groups of experts opened up booths and demonstrations for Lake Point residents to see and learn during the three-hour fair. Some of the displays included the Tooele Army Depot with their ladder truck and the North Tooele County Fire District with a fire truck.
ACE showed up with a garbage truck to talk about recycling and disposal. AirMed was there with a helicopter to talk about their role in emergencies. The Utah Highway Patrol brought their safety belt convincer.
Other local agencies and businesses displayed and talked about home canning and preservation, healthy living, family preparedness kits, the 988 suicide hotline, CPR, and more.
