Miranda Faye Miles Reeves passed away peacefully Nov. 26, 2024, surrounded by her family, at the age of 45, after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born Sept. 21, 1979, in Tooele, Utah, to Martha (Turner) Miles and Samuel Raymond Miles, Miranda touched the lives of all who knew her with her strength, kindness, and always positive spirit. Despite facing the challenges of her illness, she remained a fighter through it all, an inspiration of hope to all around her.
Throughout her life, Miranda embodied kindness and compassion. Her selflessness knew no bounds, always lifting the spirits of friends and family alike. She had a love of children, which explains her lifelong devotion to working in daycare, most recently as Managing Director of Little Apples Day Care in Grantsville, Utah. She has certainly touched the hearts and lives of so many children who have affectionately come to know her as “Miss Miranda.”
She loved to spend time with friends and family, camping, fishing, and all things involved with being a “boy mom.” She had a favorite fishing pole and spot on the boat, and rightfully earned that by consistently catching the biggest fish. She had a love for desserts, oftentimes skipping dinner to ensure she had room, but also had a gift and passion for cooking. She enjoyed sharing dishes and recipes with friends and family. Above all, the light of her life was her sweet boys and family. Her love for them was so great that she had many beautiful tattoos dedicated to her sons and family, each one planned with such detail, there was no question what drove her to fight so hard.
She is survived by her “one and only,” Raymond “Moe” Reeves, her sons Dakoda and Zane Reeves, her mother and father Martha and Samuel Miles, mother-in-law Nikki (Craig) Poulton, father-in-law John (Brenda) Reeves, grandmother Sally Turner, brother Dustin (Rachel) Miles, brother-in-law Dale (Brandy) Reeves, sister-in-law Alissa Poulton, sister-in-law Becky (Chris) Loyd, sister-in-law Cindy Yourston, nephews and nieces Wyatt and Bridger Miles; Drake Reeves; Chuck and Thomas (TJ) Bird, Serriah and Tristan Loyd; Taylor (Connor) Brown; Haley, Mari, Kailey and Markis Yourston; and many many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Dennis and Faye Miles, and Jack Turner; aunts and uncles Jim Turner, Scott Turner, Marian Turner, Vicky Miles; and brother-in-law Kyle Poulton.
Services were held Dec. 2, 2024. In lieu of flowers, if you’d like to support Moe, Dakoda, and Zane at this time, you can use Miranda’s Venmo @Miranda-Reeves-7. All funds will be put into an account for Dakoda and Zane. Or consider a donation, in her name, to support the fight against breast cancer.
