Patrick David Day Sr. was born Aug.13, 1950, and was taken home to be with our heavenly father Sept. 30, 2024. Pat was a retired military Vietnam vet who proudly served his country. Pat loved spending time with his family and fishing, roping, football, softball, snorkeling, golfing, horseback riding, dancing, chess, and telling huge tales — with the story of the red-headed hippie being one of his favorites.

Pat married the love of his life Gail Tiffany on Dec. 21, 1967.

Pat is survived by his wife Gail, son Patrick Jr (Julie), daughter Cindy (Truitt), daughter Debbie (Justin), brother Steve (Hally), and sister Connie (Terry), as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, Barbara who is more family than friend.

He was preceded in death by his youngest son Tony, father Clifford, mother Alice, sister Cindy, sister Kathy, grandson Jamie, grandson Onyx, and granddaughter Wytnee.

Pat loved life and lived it to its fullest. Pat will be dearly missed.

In celebration of his life and the heritage he was so proud of, the family will be hosting a modern Irish wake at the home of his son Patrick Day Jr. in Grantsville, Utah, Saturday, Oct. 5, starting at 4 p.m.

Please RSVP at 801-604-7083 and the gate code with address will be provided.

There will also be a military honors sendoff Saturday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m., at Tooele City cemetery for anyone who wishes to attend. Online condolences and memories shared at daltonhoopes.com.
