Rhonda Hansen Gleed, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep Nov. 27, 2024, at the age of 83. Born July 6, 1941, in Logan, Utah, to Herold and Evelyn Hansen, Rhonda was a vibrant spirit from the very beginning.

Growing up on a dairy farm in Amalga, Utah, Rhonda learned the values of hard work, dedication, and love from a young age. After graduating from high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Virgil Gleed, on Aug. 3, 1959. Their love story flourished through their life together, which included a brief adventure at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, before settling in Tooele, Utah — a place that would become their forever home.

Rhonda was the proud mother of six children: Jason Gleed, Valerie (James) Hadfield, Shawn Gleed, Kyle (Shari) Gleed, Lance (Sandy) Gleed, and Brandon (Janean) Gleed. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom — her warmth and love extended not just to her children, but to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless delight. Rhonda’s petite stature belied an enormous heart, filled with compassion and kindness, particularly for children.

For many years, she dedicated her life to nurturing those around her, making a lasting impact on the lives of countless children. Rhonda’s home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and love, a testament to the devoted life she led.

Rhonda’s legacy of love will continue to inspire her family and friends. A viewing will be held at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, at the LDS meeting house, 180 S. Coleman St., Tooele, Utah. A burial service will take place at 2 p.m. at the Logan City Cemetery.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. Thank you, Rhonda, for filling our lives with laughter and love; your memory will live on in all of us.
